Let’s paint wonderful abstract color field paintings together!
In this beginner class, we will create fun and easy abstract watercolor paintings.
I'll be with you every step of the way, as we paint and explore our watercolors through abstract color field painting. :)
First, we will take a look at our color wheel and choose our colors. I hope to inspire you to be very brave and choose contrasting colors to create vibrant, energetic paintings!
Next, we'll chat a little about the composition "Rule of Thirds".
Once we have our plan for colors and composition, we are on to painting! I demonstrate 3 different color fields you can paint to create a cohesive collection (a set!) of paintings that you can frame and hang on your wall or use for your next craft project.
I focus on the basics, explaining each step as we paint together.
We will practice watercolor techniques through our painting process, such as flat washes, gradient washes, and more. I walk you through the entire process, real time, and share my thoughts, tips, and tricks along the way.

And…..Secretly, almost like magic, we will improve our watercolor skills!
